If you are having suicidal thoughts and have developed a plan and the means to harm or kill yourself (or someone else), this is an immediate mental health crisis and you should go to the nearest hospital emergency room (if you can do so safely and/or have a person you trust take you) or dial 911 or 988 for immediate assistance.
In many cases, you may be able to avoid police involvement if you are able to safely get to the hospital emergency room without having to call 911, however this may not be possible in certain situations. 988 is also a great crisis resource for those in Central MD.
